Implementation of Cost - Effective 40 Gb/s Flexi-Grid WDM-PON System Utilizing an Optical Comb Source

Abstract

We propose cost-effective flexi-grid WDM-PON system that utilizes optical comb source and supports system capacity of 40Gb/s. We report successful transmission of 3 modulated carriers in downlink with data capacity of 24Gb/s over 50km.
