Abstract

In this paper, we investigated the post, pre- and symmetrical power compensation methods consisting of hybrid optical amplifiers i.e. RAMAN-EDFA for different data formats such as non-return to zero (NRZ), return to zero (RZ). The results are compared in terms of bit error rate, Q-factor and output power.
