Design Optimization of data rate 16×40 Gbps EDFA WDM system

Abstract

To obtain high performance characteristics we used five pump hours from 100 mW to 500mW at λp =980nm and λs=1550nm. The flattened gain is obtained within 42±0.5 dB from 1550 nm to 1565 nm band of wavelength with BER<10-9, NF<7db, channel spacing 100GHZ.
