Demonstration of filterless and tunable thulium doped fiber ring laser with emission in the 2μm region

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate filterless and tunable thulium doped fiber ring laser with emission in the wavelength range 1992 nm – 2040 nm. Power scaling is achieved with output power > 1.5 W through an amplifier stage.
