Effect of Nano-silica Incorporation on Cement Hydration Dynamics Studied using Terahertz Spectroscopy

Abstract

Nano-silica incorporation in cement accelerates the hydration process forming mechanically strong concrete. THz spectroscopy has been used to demonstrate faster and higher consumption of tricalcium silicate in order to attain more durable concrete.
