Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a technique for the controlled tuning of correlation properties associated with a random electromagnetic field using a phase only spatial light modulator. Tuning of degree of coherence of electromagnetic field is demonstrated with the help of a helical phase mask by extracting the 2×2 coherence-polarization matrix elements.
