Performance Comparison of Radio Over Fiber Techniques in the fronthauling of WLAN Signal

Abstract

Two optical fronthaul signal transmission techniques - digital baseband and analog IF over fiber are presented for WLAN signal in a two-sector 2×2 MIMO scenario. The latter scheme is found suitable for next generation mobile networks.
