Design and optimization of two concatenated LPWG-based wavelength filters for EDWA gain flattening

Abstract

We present two concatenated long-period-grating based wavelength filters and optimize their design using adaptive particle swarm optimization technique for gain flattening of EDWA. Flattened gain with ± 0.4dB ripple in the C-band has been obtained.
