Threshold reduction in random lasing from a periodic-on-average random system

Abstract

We demonstrate the experimental implementation and theoretical analysis of random lasing and perturbed band-edge lasing in a linear array of monodisperse amplifying microresonators. We observed a lower lasing threshold for random lasing.
