Effect of annealing on toxic gas sensing using samarium oxide as optical fiber cladding

Abstract

A fiber cladding modified Sm2O3 used for sensing toxic gases. The phenomenon of evanescent wave absorption is the basic sensing principle. The sensitivity towards Benzene sensing has been studied using as-prepared and annealed (500°C and 1200°C).
