Modeling of Helium Cooling Tube in Optical Fiber Drawing Tower

Abstract

Convective and radiative heat transfers in annular passage between the cooling tube and moving optical fiber were investigated. Simulations show that the cooling rate increases with increase in flow rate up to an optimum value.
