Long Period Fiber Grating Humidity Sensor with Gelatin/Cobalt Chloride coating

Abstract

A long-period fiber grating coated with Cobalt chloride and Gelatin is developed and experimentally demonstrated as humidity sensor. Relative humidity variations from 35% to 90% have been detected with the sensitivity of 0.18 nm/ %RH.
