Nonlinear optical THz generation and applications

Abstract

We report on the development of nonlinear optical THz sources such as a high-peak-power, single-longitudinal-mode, widely tunable injection-seeded terahertz-wave parametric generator using MgO:LiNbO3 pumped by an amplified micro-chip Nd:YAG laser, which operates at room temperature.
