Wideband SBS Slow Light in a Single Mode Fiber Using a Phase-Modulated Pump

Abstract

Using a 10-Gb/s PRBS phase-modulated pump, we achieve SBS slow light of 10-GHz, 26.6-ps pulses by 10.6 ps. The correlation between the pulse width and the amount of phase modulation is reported.
