Optical Comb Filter Based on the Spectral Talbot Effect in Uniform Fiber Bragg Gratings

Abstract

We numerically and experimentally demonstrate a comb filter based on the analogy between the compression of phase modulated pulse trains and grating spectrum formation. Unchirped uniform fiber Bragg gratings are sufficient for implementing this filter.
