Remote Detection of Explosives by MIR Laser Spectroscopy

Abstract

Mid-infrared laser radiation at 7.9 pm is generated by DFG in AgGaS2 for the detection of explosives TNT, RDX, PETN, and TATP. Fiber coupled absorption and evanescent field sensors are developed for remote detection.
