Circular polarization phenomena in chiral nano-optical devices

Abstract

We report on theory and numerics of optical chirality within helical metamaterials. Generation of electromagnetically chiral near-fields is observed. These provide new approaches for tailoring polarization-sensitive emission of lighting devices.
