Diffractive Gratings for Light Trapping in Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells

Abstract

We fabricated crystalline silicon solar cells with two types of diffractive rear side structures, sphere gratings and nano-imprinted binary gratings. In experiment and simulation, both these gratings lead to an EQE-enhancement in the near infrared.
