Numerical investigations on the effects of film growth modes on light trapping in silicon thin film solar cells

Abstract

We review a recent study on the impact of different growth modes onto random textures. We show that isotropic or conformal growth modes lead to tremendously different solar cell efficiencies depending on the texture’s morphology.
