Optical modeling of solar cell encapsulation with the adding-doubling method

Abstract

The adding-doubling method was investigated for the modeling of solar cell encapsulation. Good agreement was found between the adding-doubling method and Monte Carlo simulations. The adding-doubling method reduces computation time by a factor 240.
