Abstract

We present measured absorption characteristics of guided-mode-resonant hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) thin-film solar cells. The p-i-n cell is 360nm thick with a 300nm grating period. Around 22% integrated absorption enhancement compared to planar reference solar cell is observed for the 450–730nm wavelength range.
