Long-Period Gratings Written in Few-Mode Optical Fiber by Ultraviolet Laser Exposure

Abstract

Long-period gratings in few-mode fiber were fabricated with exposure using a KrF laser. Spectral measurements on attenuation for LP01 and LP11 modes were performed with offset-launch technique. The coupling wavelengths depended on launched modes.
