Intensity-Based Fiber Optic Sensor Head Characteristic Using Twist Dual Cycling Bending Loss

Abstract

Intensity-based fiber optic sensor (FOS) head consisting of steel wires and twist dual cycling bending optical fiber is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The tensile strain and three-point flexural tests for the proposed FOS head are given.
