On the Advantages of CO-OFDM transponder in Network-Side Protection

Abstract

The reconfiguration capability of CO-OFDM transponder is exploited to efficiently allocate spectrum resources in dedicated network-side protection. Impacts in terms of spectrum width requirement and power consumption are analyzed.
