Multiple Photonic Band Gaps in 1D Fibonacci Systems

Abstract

A new multilayer system based on a one-dimensional (1D) Fibonacci sequence that can generate multiple photonic band gaps (MPBG) is presented. The structures are straightforward to make. Its potential for various applications is also discussed.
