Anisotropic spatial solitons in optically-induced photonic lattices of different symmetries

Abstract

We explore the symmetry reduction of spatial solitons supported by photonic lattices of three- and four-fold symmetries due to the photorefractive orientational anisotropy. Influences of anisotropy to more complex vortex and multi-vortex solitons are discussed.
