Giant splitting of localized electric and magnetic plasmon modes in a photonic microcavity

Abstract

A cut-wire pair is strongly coupled to photonic modes in a microcavity. This results in large anticrossings of the electric and magnetic plasmon modes and the cavity mode dispersion, being useful for plasmon-quantum emitter coupling.
