Control of the fluorescence features of a dipole emitter with coupled plasmonic modes

Abstract

Based on the concept of plasmon hybridization, we study the control of the fluorescence characteristics of a dipole emitter near dimers and thin metallic films. Spectral control can be achieved with nanometer scale spatial sensitivity.
