Abstract

The photophysical properties of the new polycomplexes 4-methacryloyl-(4″-carboxy-3″-oxy)azobenzene containing cobalt ions chemically connected with the polymer are investigated in the present work. The photoinduced polarization was observed in the investigated films. Changes and accumulation of dipole moments of azobenzene groups happen in the investigated films under illumination with light. Within the scope of the proposed model the changes of formed photoinduced polarization is explained by orientation influence of external electric and/or magnetic fields on these dipole moments as well as on charged magnetic metallic ions hardly connected with the dipole moments.
