Abstract
An active stabilization of photorefractive (PR) two-wave coupling by means of an electronic feedback was introduced several years ago and used extensively in the transmission geometry. It leads here to 100% diffraction efficiency η and periodic states instead of familiar steady states [1]. Recently, implementation of this feedback in the reflection geometry has allowed to obtain fully reproducible results on grating recording for LiNbO3:Fe crystals subjected to external electric fields E0 of up to 650 kV/cm [2]. The PR properties in the range of 0.1 µm grating spacing were greatly improved.
