Abstract

This paper describes multilayer recording of the microholograms in lithium niobate. The application of the method of the collinear heterodyning for readout makes it possible to reconstruct not only the amplitude, but also the phase of the microhologram. This method of readout has high spatial selectivity and eliminates the influence of non addressed layers. The application of the multilevel phase data coding makes it possible to increase the density and rate of recording. The method of multilayer recording of the microhologram makes it possible to increase bit density by more than an order, which was experimentally tested.
