Abstract

Steady-state two-wave interaction on a local photorefractive grating formed in a cubic gyrotropic crystal with applied constant electric field is considered. The analytical solution is found in the approximation of the undepleted pump wave. The possibility of the effective non-unidirectional energy exchange is demonstrated for the interaction in Bi12TiO20 crystal. The dependency of the two-wave coupling gain from the intensities ratio of the incident light waves is investigated on the basis of numerical solution of the complete set of the coupled-wave equations.
