Abstract

We show that applying a de electric field along the direction of an speckle pattern vibration one can detect an alternating current in transverse direction. We demonstrate the use of the transverse current for adaptive sensing of a rough surface vibration. The experimental results for transverse currents in Bi12TiO20 and ZnSe crystals are presented along with the detailed comparison with the photo-EMF vibration detection using the same crystal samples.
