Abstract

A backscattering diffusing wave spectroscopy probe, consisting of two monomode polarisation-maintaining optical fibres (light source and detector), has been designed. The polarisation planes of the fibres are mutually perpendicular to avoid detection of singly scattered photons. The corresponding autocorrelation function is derived.
