Abstract

High-resolution static and dynamic light-scattering measurements in polystyrene solutions have been performed. Crossover from Ising criticality to mean-field tricritical theta-point behavior with increasing molecular weight of the polymer has been observed. The reduced characteristic crossover temperature is proportional to the critical volume fraction of the polymer.
