Light transport modeling for accurate pressure modulation calibration of extra-cerebral contribution to DCS cerebral blood flow monitoring in adult subjects

Abstract

DCS monitoring of cerebral blood flow in adult subjects requires accounting for extracerebral contributions to the signal. We explore the impact of the choice of model on using the recently proposed pressure modulation method for calibrating the extracerebral contribution.
