Abstract
Photo-Magnetic Imaging (PMI) is a new optical imaging modality recently introduced by our research team. It uses Magnetic Resonance Thermometry (MRT) to measure the temperature increase of a given medium after its illumination with a near-infrared laser. By combining the light propagation and heat diffusion, a multiphysics solver is implemented to model the spatiotemporal temperature variation. In this paper, we present a new fast non iterative reconstruction algorithm for PMI. This new algorithm uses analytical methods in the resolution of the forward and inverse problems. In addition, this new analytical algorithm not only allows the use of whole high resolution MRT data but also provides high resolution absorption maps approximately 33 times faster than a single iteration of our previous FEM-based algorithm.
