Particle dynamics in an unstable optical potential

Abstract

Dynamics of a Brownian particle in a nonlinear optical potential will be presented together with theoretical and experimental results. We will focus on the noise-to-signal transition, where the environmental noise is transformed to the useful mechanical effects, and first passage times of a Brownian particle.
