Optical Binding Between Chiral and Knotted Nanoparticles

Abstract

We discuss computer simulations of optical binding between hypothetical knotted nanowires in circularly polarised counter propagating beams. In particular, we examine the binding properties and dynamics of chiral torus knots with n-fold rotational symmetry.
