Nonlinear Oscillatory States of Spheroidal Particles in a Two-Beam Trap Geometry

Abstract

We report observations of polystyrene spheroidal particles that undergo different types of sustained oscillatory motion when exposed to one, or two, moderately focused Gaussian beams. Simulations predict some of the observed oscillatory regimes.
