Corral Trapping of Single Molecules in Electrolyte Solution: Theory and Experiment

Abstract

The corral trap is a simple, electrostatic setup for capturing charged molecules such as ssDNA in dilute electrolyte solution. We will present experiments demonstrating its use and discuss the underlying trapping mechanism using theoretical modeling.
