Spectral Characterization of the Temperature Performance of Silicon Solar Cells

Abstract

The solar spectrum illuminating silicon photovoltaic cells is modified to eliminate ultraviolet and infrared spectral bands. The effect of modifying the spectrum on cell temperature and electrical performance is evaluated.
