Abstract

We introduce our significant effort towards application of biodegradable chitosan film in the design of cost-effective, biocompatible, and tunable metal - insulator - organic layer - metal (MIOM) resonators for color filters. By application of swelling properties of chitosan solution, we expect to obtain different colors depending on the changing thickness of chitosan film. Then, through patterning techniques, it is expected to achieve diverse colors with high DPI.
