Abstract

A high-gain and frequency-selective amplifier for weak optical echo signal based on stimulated Brillouin scattering in fiber is proposed. which is an excellent candidate for the weak signal enhancement in traditional lidar system especially in bad weather. In experiment, a maximum signal gain of 68 dB was obtained.
