Abstract

A methdo for decreasing spatial coherence of laser diode for speckle reduction in holographic display is proposed. A beam path is split into several beams which travel different optical paths to induce optical path differences longer than coherence length. The split beams combine after traveling different optical paths to form a single beam path. The combined single beam is used to reconstruct holographic display for speckle reduction.
