High Performance Dye-doped Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Lasers

Abstract

A high performance dye-doped cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) laser pumped by second harmonic Nd-YAG laser is demonstrated. By incorporating external passive CLC reflectors, the light efficiency is enhanced while the beam divergence is reduced significantly.
