Broadband isolated attosecond XUV pulses

Abstract

For the first time, we observe unambiguous signature of broadband (50 eV) XUV harmonic radiation temporally confined down to an isolated attosecond pulse by applying polarization gating to phase-stabilized-few-cycle laser pulses.
