Abstract

A newly developed network operation system for PDS-ANs is described. Also discussed are some requirements for its achieving common and efficient management of various PDS-ANs, as well as network modeling and management functions allocated to the operation systems. This paper also describes an operation system that was developed based on telecommunications management network (TMN) and open systems interconnection (OSI) concepts. The latter system was introduced in the provision of a cable television (CATV) transmission service that began in July 1997.
