Abstract

A new near-infrared squaraine probe SQ-X (1), and known squaraine dye, SQ44OH (2), were investigated for their photochemical properties and cytotoxicity. In vitro one-photon and two-photon fluorescence microscopy imaging was demonstrated using the new probes.
