Effect of annealing on the optical properties of HfO2

Abstract

Post-annealing of HfO2 thin films is found to affect the absorption loss at 1 µm, and the subpicosecond laser-induced breakdown behavior. These effects are attributed to modifications of the density of intrinsic defects and photo-induced defects, respectively.
